Revision Rhinoplasty

Revision rhinoplasty is to correct the nose aesthetically or functionally by reoperating patients who have undergone an operation but did not achieve the desired result.

Revision rhinoplasty can be performed on patients whose problems persist or who think that their problems persist despite having cosmetic nose surgery. The ideal time to undergo revision rhinoplasty should be minimum 6 months or 1 year.

In most revision surgeries, the healing period may take a little longer than the initial operation. Surgical intervention will be more challenging since the tissues are more adhered due to the first surgery. In revision rhinoplasty surgeries, it may be necessary to use rib cartilage because the inner cartilage tissue is not sufficient.

The revision rate has been reported to be 5-25% in various clinics. These may be in the form of re-operation or minor interventions. Re-operation requires a long correction surgery. Small interventions are much more limited and simple.

Our revision rate is 5-7% in the last 5 years and they are usually small interventions. Keep in mind that 100% success is not possible. We do not charge any fee other than hospital expenses for our own revisions.
